It really was a while since I last had a meaningful update to my blog, even though the early years of it were crucial to my development. After all, I kept it afloat since 2014; it’s ten years of Shinyuu. My emotions, my hopes, my dreams.
Gradually, I shifted to journalling on paper, and the personal touch of the blog disappeared. I got into inks, and pens, and all the fancy stationery stuffs. I only held to it for maybe four years before losing interest. Again, my priorities shifted.
Now, looking back at my experiences, I see a cycle of attempts. I try, I fail. I start over. Again and again, I repeat the same things. I make progress, though, even if it’s barely noticeable.
As my focus shifts back towards the writing, I decided it’s a good time to revamp my blog and breathe new life into it. First, I want to focus more on short-form fiction. There’s no point mussing over writing a novel, but I clearly enjoy writing flash fiction, so I’ll just do it more.
Second, I want to share my experiences in the world of visual arts. Oddly enough, I’ve been doing 3D stuffs for four years now and I still didn’t give up. It stuck, and I learned a few peculiar things. I think it’s about time to make sure my scattered thoughts and even more scattered notes become proper posts.
What will happen to my old posts? I’ve been clinging to them for a while, but I feel this is a good time to let them go. I won’t be purging the blog, but I will start anew, hopefully to something that’s slightly more coherent this time. All of my old posts will still be accessible via the direct links, and I might migrate those that will still see any traffic to the new blog. Otherwise, this is another adventure in the life of a wolfy.
That said, if you still want to take a peek at the old blog, you totally can.
Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter.
Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
